Read: Genesis 22:1-18 (NIV)

"Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, 'Abraham!' 'Here I am,' he replied. Then God said, 'Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.' Early the next morning Abraham got up and loaded his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about."*

Meditate: Abraham's journey to Mount Moriah is a profound demonstration of surrender and trust in God's plan. Imagine the weight of the sacrifice he was asked to make – his beloved son, Isaac. Abraham's willingness to obey, even in the face of immense personal pain, revealed his deep alignment with God's will. His faith in God's promises was so strong that he believed God could even raise Isaac from the dead if necessary. This level of surrender showed Abraham's unwavering alignment with God's sovereignty.

Pray: "Dear Heavenly Father, as I start this journey of aligning with You, I am reminded of Abraham's remarkable surrender. Just as he willingly offered up his son Isaac, help me to surrender my desires, plans, and ambitions to Your will. I acknowledge that Your plans are greater and Your ways are higher. Grant me the faith and trust to let go of what I hold dear if it means aligning more closely with Your purpose. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
